Doing something like Hit Parader really you would just need to somehow do an interview and take some pictures....give them something that they would want to print. I know that Rolling Stones does that. You do all the work and then try to sell it to them. The same goes for magazines like National Geographic. That would be a very very cool job though! Photography just makes for a very competitive field.
