OOh and ya about the graphic design subject, it is really competitive because there are so many of us, and if your not good, look out!! There are also soo many self taught designers muddling up the waters too, so its a huge mix and you never know what your gunna get unless you do your research. As well, the deadlines are bad in some places, if you got a press time booked, you gotta stay till its done to make it! Some places are easy about it... but some dont have any wiggle room at all. Its all about hitting the deadline and being able to do it and not kill youself. So I guess it all depends on what kind of designer you are, as well as where you find work. Obviously a design firm or a newspaper will have deadlines heavier than say a designer for a small company. Hope that helps ya!!

I agree 100%!!! I have not slept for more then 1-2 hours at a time for the past year. It's been causing me all sorts of health problems.
