Feeling a bit on the putrid side right now. Did a massive cleaning sweep last weekend. The litter box is in the towel closet in the bathroom and we needed to do some heavy duty cleaning in that area. I remember putting the scooper on top of the garbage and well, I go to clean the litter out today cause oh yes one of the boys pissed on the bed. Mind you I wasn't here all week. My brother was watching the place and before that my friend was in town. Anyway...can't find the scooper. I attempt to use a spatula but that doesn't work. The love I have for these cats is endless so I proceed to clean the litter with my bare hands. Ugh, I feel nasty and not in a good way. I think I have washed my hands 5 times now and well, they still feel grimy. Cat piss is one of the most heinous smells on the planet.

Pure vinegar in the laundry.
My cat (15 years old) is totally cranky and he'll piss on ANYTHING that is left on the floor.
Throw the stuff in the washing machine with no soap, and about 1 or 2 cups of white vinegar.
Don't know what that vinegar does on a chemical level... but man it sure works.
I find that if you use normal laundry soap, it comes out smelling like cat pee and laundry soap.
(course, I'll usually wash the stuff a second time with regular soap after the vinegar.)
Well, there's my manly man martha stewart input for the week.
