you are absolutely right. I have been very slack. and the hard part is that I have so much to say right now, but the words just won't come. so it's become easier to sit and think about it rather than pour it out on the page.

What's weird is that the process of cool-hunting is really interesting to me, but I despise the end results. In Pattern Recoginition cool-hunting is what William Gibson's main charcter does for a living, but not in the sense of being able to pick up on discernable style or fashion, just an inate ablity to sense emmergient trends, more or less, she can tell just by looking at something if it's going to get wings and legs and spread out or if it's just four or five kids doing something weird with their hair that's going to be mocked and ridiculed. My best friend(and by extension of his lead, myself) has always been a Natural Indicator in terms of fashion and style around here. It seems like there's a six month or so turn around time on almost everything he does, then suddenly you start seeing everyone do it. From cowboy boots in the city, to big belt buckeles, to hand rolling cigarettes. It seems like if he does you could lay money to the odds that within the year everyone will be dong it. It's very surreal and makes my head hurt.

It's sort of like watching an angel lose it's wings when you go from the really cool bar where everyone has their own unique look and style, fashion, culture and counter culutre all sort of intermingle and then step into the night club where there's two hundred guys dressed exactly the same and two hundred girls dressed exactly the same and that's the most variety you're going to see.

We had dubbed copies of Labyrinth and The Princess Bride, I think my brother and I watched them over a hundred times during school holidays..

I have to buy them again, ahhh I love reliving childhood memories... But I always get sad.. I always feel as though the best years are slipping by and im stuck behind a desk in an office.. BAH!

I still love Goonies and Labyrinth... I found a Goonies tee the other day... I wanna play Batman it sounds so fun... I think everyone should have to wear Batman masks though... hehe... I also lurve care bears... I used to have a glo worm too but I lost in when I went to the shops when I was little... I was way dev-o.... I hear you with the period pain thingy... it's taken me frickin ten years for things to be kinda normal... I wouldn't change being a girl with everything it comes with for a second though... there's something so incredibly rad about being a lady.... B xx
