-I went to see The Science of Sleep last night with ampersand in celebration of his birthday. It was very sweet and kind of surreal. I'm pretty sure the highlight was the little felt telephone and typewriter that appeared in one of the dream sequences. So very cute.

I'm wiped out.
Last week was an uphill struggle against a mountain of Tafe work and even though I spent about 12 hours every day at school I still didn't get it all finished. There is, apparently. no rest for the wicked.
The list of things I'd rather be doing includes-
-taking myself out for coffee and shite magazine reading
-making pom poms to...

I tell you what, the long weekend is doing wonders for my wiped outedness. Here's hoping its the same for you.

I know what you mean about the intrusive thing. I think that's kinda why I like it. For some reason I've got a - I'm going to call it a need, cause it feels like one sometimes - a need to share my personal stuff all over the internet. So, while I've got very little to say, I figured I'd leave the blinds open and the lights on on my music listening, so to speak.
There is always that risk though that, while on a drunken, random iTunes bender, you may see some Belinda Carlisle, or maybe even Avril, flick across the top of my profile. But y'know what? I'm ok with that.
Ms. cleverthings makes a pretty convincing arguement, don't cha think? You working Saturday night at all? Fancy serving me some drinks?

Hi Ellie!
I don't have any words.
I wish I was one of those appallingly talented writer-types who could spew all my thoughts and issues out onto the internet and be done with them. But alas, no. Every time I sit down to write a new journal my mind clouds over and any articulation I possess goes out the window so that all that comes out is...

For what it's worth, I like your words. Even if they don't come frequently, when the do come they are always good.
Not getting what you want can really suck, but often-times, despite the insanity of the now, the long term benefits that come from control do outway the whatever you're missing out in the then that was. That is to say, the right thing to do is often the hardest thing to do, and it's usually the fact that it is hard that makes it right, cause if it weren't right, it wouldn't be hard. Right?
The other thing we learn from this is that it only takes five of those pre-mixed Sky drink thingys that kinda taste like vomit to turn mark into a complete text-based wanker. Also, they make him forgetful, and he ends up txtering people who's phones he knows don't work ... sorry bout that.
p.s. I have an interview regarding a potential position in management on monday. I may need to borrow your hip-flask.

Weee! Words!!
I'm envious of your trip. Maybe with paid holidays I'll be able to do some proper travel at last... but in the mean time, yeah some training in Solaris (a type of UNIX), enterprise storage networks, and edge security. Sounds kinda technical, huh?

so true... so very, very true.
it's funny, but the graph doesn't change a huge amount when drunk is added to the mix... except inanity of statements starts a little earlier on the proximity to cat scale.
avril was on letterman. i think she thinks she's 16 again. it's one part charming and two parts kinda sorta just desperate. but still, i think she's cool. and her new song is hot on accounta she's totally dropped that i'm a serious artist shit and just doing the pop-wannabe-punk thing again ... which i can't help but find adorable.
stupid school nights. stupid band reviews.

For sure.
For sure.

Sleeping with kittens on the bed is one of the best things ever. Until they wake you up to be fed or played with.
... I just made a really funny gasping noise when I heard Simon Pegg was up next on Letterman. Like really funny. First I was shocked by the announcement, then by the noise I made. Toby remained calm the whole time.
It was funny.
So ... you don't have any more L Word on DVD do you? Do you?

Love is a wonderful thing. Then again, so is chocolate. At least with chocolate you can get it from anywhere. You don't have to fight for it, strive to keep it alive, wonder where it's all gone wrong or demonstrate your commitment to it.
Now normally I really wouldn't put too much weight in The Sunday Times' star sign prediction for my week, especially when...

So, did you get all your sewing done? ... or should I not ask?

I baked cookies at 7:30 this morning. I am housewife extraordinaire, hear me roar!
Baking is one of my oft-forgotten favorite pastimes. It's calming and tasty and if it wasn't so darned hot I would be baking all the time at the moment. The ultimate procrastination tool!

Y'know where I get most of my recipies from. Usually it's off the side of the jar, or the back of the box. I keep waiting for my love of cooking to come back, but it just seems so far away right now. Just doesn't seem worth it when it's just for me.
Now, onto the next question - why do I love what I love? Well, right now I'm still trying to figure out what exactly it is that I love. If we're talking the film thing I don't do often enough, then I think it's just the buzz I get from being on set. The thrill of being surrounded by a group of like-minded individuals, all working towards the same thing. When it works, it works so well, and it's like a drug. I feel awake and alive and like I could just keep doing it forever.
I guess the writing thing is the same, except remove all the other people. When it works - which it kinda is right now - it works really well. I just wish I had enough words in me to be able to do it on a more full time basis.
So, you ready for more Freaks?

You are a jewel. I heart you for serious.
I failed.
I tried. Really I did. But, apparently, SG is more addictive than crack and cigarettes put together. Not that I've ever had to quit either of those. You know what I mean though, right?
So how have you all been in the last...err...week and a half?

Thank you miss! That worked even better than snuggles under a blanket on a rainy day. I looked at the baby on the cat and giggled. Then I looked away. Then I looked back and giggled some more. This continued for an embarrassingly long time.

You've probably noticed how little time I've been spending round these parts of late. My heart's not really in it anymore and, honestly, I have other things that I want to focus my attention on. So I'm going to go away for a bit. Perhaps not for good but long enough to warrant a farewell. Thanks to everyone who's been my friend and kept me...
