I'm beginning to think that one of the harbingers of getting older is getting excited about white goods. It's slightly worrying. My parents and I went to look at appliances for the house and I had a lovely afternoon running around Rick Hart like a kid in a candy store. Fridges and stoves and range-hoods oh my! Exhibit A in my new, worrying love of white goods. Exhibit B comes in the form of my genuine excitement (with jumping and a little dance and all) at the news that my Dad bought a Dyson vacuum for the house a well. It's surely unhealthy for someone to be so happy about what is basically a cleaning utensil. Oi vey.

Anyway, enough about my odd obsessions. The work on the house is well under way, they took the room off the bathroom (well, what will be the bathroom) and tore the back of the house off. It's all very destructive and fun. I have pictures -

I'm sorry to be so dull as to update you on the house every week, I just don't have much else happening. That and I really find it quite fascinating to see the transformation.

Um..yes. In other news I've discovered that if you blend (fresh) pineapple chunks with ice and a little bit of pineapple juice you get the most brilliant drink ever. I plan to make it every day during summer.



I'm going to be so full of pineappley goodness. Mmm.
