I need a job and I need a change. I'm beginning to wonder what my compulsive desire to turn things upside-down every couple of months is indicative of, though. It's like in that childrens book (and later tv series and bad film starring Frances McDormand) Madeline - 'Something is not right'. I just have to figure out what it is now.

Anyway, I think my Christmas spirit is kicking in. The weekly family dinner turned into a getting-drunk-and-dancing-to-kitsch-carols-while-we-decorate-the-tree session. It was lovely and we looked like we should have been in some schmaltzy, heartwarming Christmas film. Aww bless.

Smiley boy on the right and I went to see The Grates last night. Oh my goodness! They were so so so awesome and I think I'm in love. You can always tell it's going to be a good show when the entire audience is adorable and made up of a suspiciously large amount of short girls in white dresses. When I grow up I am determined to be an adorable, short girl in a white dress. There we go. Life ambition sorted.
