Well I am back in Dallas now. I just spent a wonderful weekend in Austin! The exam part was horrendous..I am trying my hardest NOT to think about it. All was going well...I know my shit , as it were, but one thing happened that sent me reeling and as a result i think I have failed.the folder with my grades fell open onto the station in front of me...I didnt even notice (as I was busy working on my mannequin) until the bitch inspector stomped up behind me, snatched it up, glared at me, made signal to another inspector (pointing at me) wrote in the file, slammed it down & walked away.!! Big deal, you may think...but yes...if you look at your grades it is grounds for failure!!! I DIDNT LOOK...I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT WAS OPEN!!!ARRRGGGHH and the woman was a hideously evil bitch...I tried to tell her later, but she cut me off and snapped "just go to lunch!!!"
As you can imagine, this played on my mind for the rest of the test and seriously impeded my performance. I am sad...I think I failed...I want to cry, scream, break something, hurt someone...but instead i will simply quietly obsess until they decide to send my results (up to 4 weeks time)
Less of that! I had a great weekend other than that. Thursday night I hooked up (impromptu) w/ one of my best grrrlfriends Teri. We had dinner at Trudy's and started drinking. Since she's lived away from Dallas we barely talk so it was awesome to spend an evening alone just catching up. We talked about everything from business and life plans, to nutrition, to sex (hey...I WAS conversing after all!!) Five cocktails later we venture downtown...she drags me to....eeuurrghhh "Coyote Ugly" horrendous place (in her defense she had only been once b4 it was a weekend and they had fun). We slammed a cocktail there & left, took a PEDI CAB..waahahahaha & went to Elysium where I bumped into cutie Coffeecat I had no idea she would be there. I wish we had made it earlier in the evening so I could have seen her perform and hung out for longer. Alas our grrrls catch up night caught up with us...Teri, throughout the early hours & all of Friday and me..Friday all morning! Tim came up to join me Friday evening and we headed over to Tattoodolly's place for the indian spread that her & Renault had prepared for everyone. What a nice evening that was. I had fun meeting some & seeing others again. Tattoodolly was a fabulous hostess, plus I really had fun chatting with Flicka & johnsaulrubio & wish I'd sat with those guys earlier. plus everyone else. Bluevalentine is a fun gal & Mullhollanddrive...well, I am so very glad we finally got to meet!! EVERYONE of you was great to hang out with...and I vote heartagram19 as having just the sweetest & most genuine smile! It was a great night and a shame it had to end so early...we went on to see MC5 but personally, i would have liked to socialized with everyone longer. Spent Saturday & Saturday evening with Teri, & her hubby & me 'n mine. Had a wonderful relaxing day ....sitting in the river on the rocks by their apartments. (They live right opposite the Green Belt....Gorgeous! and decided to stay in & watch movies that night (still slow from earlier festivities!) All in all...ignoring the reason for my visit....I had a WONDERFUL ime and send a big fuggin KISS to all who helped make it so! SGTX rox and so do my wonderful friends TERI & BILLY
