I just finished writing a long an utterly enthralling journal entry, when I accidentally clicked on a link to another page, and when I hit the back button, everything I'd written had been deleted. THAT IS SO FUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why doesn't someone invent a program that stops that from happening? If you hit the back button you should go back to exactly what you were doing. So mad.
Anyway, to give a basic rundown -
I'm on holidays for a week. I can't
believe its already Wednesday
tomorrow.
Got really drunk on the weekend
despite telling myself this wasnt going
to happen again for a log time. Maybe
I have to start using reverse
psychology. Im going to get wasted
every night. Lets see if that works.
I was drunk because we had Marks b-
day celebration and Beths going-away
on the Saturday night, as well as the
obligatory JJJ Hottest 100 party at
Jasmine and Marcus house on Sunday.
I knew Jet were going to win. You see
trends when you work in a music store.
Oukast were ripped off. True talent
dominated over by a contrived piece of
record company shit. Sorry, I know
they are Australian and all, but doesnt
anyone else see the eerie
resemblances between them and that
other piece of manufactured crap of a
band The Vines
Both had rare overseas success before
making it big in their own country.
Both are signed to EMI
Both of their albums are ballads and
rock songs
Both have that dirty hair, dirty jeans
look.
I could go on and on but I wont waste
my time.
Shit I had so much news to fill you in on but I have lost the energy and the willpower to write now. I feel so gross after the weekend. No exercise and lots of calories. Hopefully Ill make up for it this week. Going to take the Chopper for a long ride tomorrow and stop and have a picnic lunch somewhere.
Oh, Ive seen 2 really good foreign films in the last 24 hours. Both were screened on SBS. The first was from Norway and was called Get Ready to be Boyvoiced. It was a mockumentary that followed a boy band for 6 months from their inception to their eventual downfall. Very funny - not only for the piss-take element, but also for the Norwegian accents. The 2nd was called Whats Up With Love? and was made in Indonesia. It was about a group of 5 close girlfriends whose lives are turned upside down when one of them falls in love with a guy they all find obnoxious. But really, hes just misunderstood. Even though it was a fictional tale, it was a great insight into teen life in Indonesia. And I was cool to actually be able to understand some of the language without having to read the subtitles! The boy who played the obnoxious love interest has to be one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen in my life!
Im not normally attracted to Asian guys, so thats saying a lot. Anyway, yeah, it was a great movie, I missed the very start of it though so Im keen to try and scope it out from the video store or something. Probably have to try the internet though.
I hope everyone is surviving. Ill post some pics of the weekend and NYE (finally) when I get the camera back form Mark and Tidjs place.
