i forgot to write about this but, its too funny not to note...
thursday night "black" and i took our stockpile of change to buy milk and cigarettes...
side: i don't remember which album its on, but someone in the crowd yells "tell us a story" and jello talks about getting chased by jocks... he mentions fred meyers...as a kid from california i never knew what he was talking about but, when i moved to washington... i got it...anyway...its like a grocery store/ kmart kind of deal...
so "black" promises that there is a coinstar at fred meyer...i didn't think there was...we bet...he lost...we decided to buy milk and smokes anyway, i run...like really run back to the milk... no organic... we remember there is a "natural" department... so i challenge him to race me... i'm running with the (plastic) bag of coins, it was probably close to 10 o'clock...i'm running my little heart out
the bag broke and money flew, bounced, rolled everywhere! the sound was magnificent... i tumbled and sat on the floor with my hands over my face... there were two or three employees in the aisle... all very friendly...forty bones in change stretched from the deli meat down to the bread section... it took 15 minutes to collect it all with the help of a boy with a broom...oddly enough it totally made my night...
