Time for an update. God, I'm a slacker.

Key West and my birthday were great. Thank you for so many comments! It was nice to come home to. Happy to report there were no sunburns or hangovers the whole trip, which is amazing for the English husband and myself! tongue I love the "Conch Republic" as it's known there because it's a haven for writers (like Hemingway), artists, and people just looking to get away from the real world. It's the most liberal place in Florida which is a nice change from family-friendly Orlando. We stayed in a really cute bed and breakfast, with 2 kitties living there to help me from missing my cats back home as much. I didn't do any snorkeling or boat trips this time because $ was getting tight, but I could go out on the dock at Mallory Square and see 2' long tarpon swimming down below. Beautiful. I love fish. I tried oysters for the first time since my husband was eating them 3x a day...not bad. He did a shot with a raw oyster in pepper vodka, and I had to pass on that one.

Sigh, I want to move to Key West every time I go, but it's super expensive. I also might get a little too lazy in the brain, which I guess is the whole point. I guess a place like that is better when you're older, so you can really reward yourself. It's only 120 miles from Miami, so it's not too isolated. I thought of _G_ and AceTracer when we drove through there, and a car spun out in a 360 degree circle in front of us. Some crazy shit like that always happens in Miami! eeek How do you guys deal?! I guess South Beach makes up for it....topless beach!

I want to change up my massage "career" and get my own thing going. See, this is the problem with taking time off...I start thinking how much I hate working for someone else. I guess everyone feels that way. I've been doing this as a job for 4 years, so I'm ready to strike out on my own. I've been doing some outcalls, but I'm trying to make that more consistent. I'd love to work less for more money, and maybe go back to school. There's some cool programs in Chinese medicine that I'd like to check into. It bothers me sometimes that what I do doesn't use the ol' brain too much...yay, I'm rubbing people. surreal Well, it pays the bills.

How are my SG people? Tell me what's going on with you, good, bad, or boring.
Love, miss lady

Current Thought:
I need to go see Fahrenheit 911.

Current Mood:
Clinging to what's left of Key West relaxation.

Current Music:
Collection of songs I titled "New Wave Hitz"---everything from Ultravox to Flock of Seagulls. I don't trust music less than 20 years old tongue .

Current Quote:
A note on my desk from my mom: "Chickens lay eggs-people lie down." Good grammar is important. Yes.

Glad you had fun in key west and birthdays rock! I just had mine June 11th and I got totally obliderated in Ybor City with a bunch of friends. Yeah it does suck coming home to the normal stuff after an exciting holiday. Just a thought on the massage thing,... I have a friend who lives in Weeki Wachee, and his wife is a massage therapist. She has a folding table and van and goes to peoples houses and does the therapy! She does pretty good at it, since there are so many older people that can't get out around here! Might be something you can look into? Back to Key West, I would love to go to Fantasy Fest down there! I hear it is a lot of fun, it sounds like a very liberal place! We need more places like that in the world, hell ya can't even smoke a friggin marlboro in a damn restauraunt anymore in this state! tongue ~~~~,~~,`< biggrin THE GATOR
