My spa is dragging my ass in early to work today. Ugh. Mother's Day weekend madness. Yesterday was insane, I did 8 1/2 hours of massage, just taking a little break long enough to go to the fancy gourmet grocery store for a yummy veggie and goat cheese panini sandwich. And I had to have alot of coffee and juice all day, the juice being Naked brand which drew me in with the name and made me stay with the quality. So good. So expensive. Why must it cost so much to eat well?
My favorite (they think they're all my favorites, ha ha) client Johnny came in yesterday amid all the mothers and daughters. I was actually pulled out of slathering this girl with mud from head to toe, because my boss said Johnny just had to see me. Awww! If it was anyone else, I'd be pissed, but for my New York boy I make an exception. We all get silly around him, all us girls and gay boys working there. He said, in NY accent, "You know, Karen, you got such strong hands for such a little lady!" I told him to hush and went back to inflicting pain on his back. This, dudes, is the kind of crap girls love to hear.
I might not be a scene girl this weekend (collective "aw!
"). I will go from 2 days of very physical work, to being with my mom and grandma all day tomorrow. My grandma just learned that she has some health issues, so it will be an emotional day. I know she'll be alright, because she's extremely tough emotionally and physically. I'm really close to her, even if I don't see her alot. She's had a hard life, but managed to still be one of the sweetest, kindest people I've ever met.
I will NOT miss Karaoke Night Sun with Contradiction and McG!!! I'll be ready for some fun making an ass out of myself. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of talking to miss_lady, I have a pleasant, professional speaking voice (aside from saying "fuck" way too much), but when I attempt to sing, people run away. Come see my delightful trainwreck!
Ok, gotta go get spa-pretty. Maybe I'll wear a D&G shirt to perk myself up....then I'll get mud or seaweed on it and freak out. Have a nice weekend, babies, and hug yo momma if you can.
