Someone I know has turned me back on to old school hiphop.
Damn, what happened to music in general? I can't listen to 99% of the new music out now. It all sounds the same to me.
Some people say it's the lack of recrational drugs but they're still around and we have prescription drugs that are 100 times worse. Can't say it's affected just one Genre. Punk is barely alive, Metal has gone back to the underground and branched out into so many mini genres it makes me head fucking explode. Pop is still garbage but it's now more like garbage that's been eaten and puked out by a dog named american idol. Hiphop is as mainstream and light as dance music was in the 90s.
Out of over a thousand songs on my Ipod less then a handful would be considred modern.
