My week went as expected. Not great but at least It's over.
The animal shelter was nice. The commute is long but It's not like I have to go everyday. Just one day a week for 2 hours. Whole orientation was interesting. I think I was the only straight guy in the group. Not that I minded.
The volunteer coordinator made a couple of remarks in front of the class that seemed directed at me. Saying how some animals may respond negatively because of ones stature, dark clothing and facial hair..
That was followed by laughter from most of the volunteers. eh...whatever, I'm ok with that, but to say those are the reasons why an animal would be provoked is unfounded and feeble minded.
Honestly, I could care less though.. who are these people? I'm not there to be judged. I'm there because I love dogs and I want to help.
Anyways of course the time I have off in April is the time my mom wants to come and stay with me for a week. Dunno why she wants to stay at my place since she hates my animals except for Wyatt. I'll ask Alex this weekend if he can take Amelia my Boa and Caiman the Savannah monitor until my mom leaves.
I gotta make this short because I have some errands to run but I want to thank all my new friends here. I've really enjoyed chatting with you all.
