Today I was acting Platoon Sergeant. It was rather hectic. I have a nasty headache. We have so much going on right now. Detail after detail. We have almost no soldiers at the moment. And we haven't even started red cycle yet. It is gonna be a wild ride.

Today was a long day at work, even though I was off before 5. Started off with a 6-mile run. Then standing around in the motorpool till lunch. Then sitting around the office till 4:45. Doing nothing sucks alot more than being busy.

I haven't done shit all weekend. All the trips from NC to Pittsburgh and back wore me out. It seems like all I have done the last two weeks is drive. I brought most of my books down with me . So now my apt. feels alittle more like home.

I called my mom to borrow her blender and she told me that her uncle died. She is very upset. He was the oldest living POW in the US. He lived in the Old Soldiers Home in D.C. I think that they will bury him in Arlington.

today was un-Godly hot....100 degrees. I got a little burnt. Today was my first real day as squadleader. Of course my squad only has 3 soldiers in it at the moment.
