Reasons I know that it's Christmas: by miserabelle


  • for the last three months, there have been christmas cards in woolworths

  • I have a horrific cold (includes losing my voice)

  • Paperchase has christmas items in! Today I bought some decorations, some really cute birds that... will be out all year let's face it, they're just that great (yeah that's right, fuck you convention, I'm a rebel keeping out my decorations all year)

  • I'm lacking in funds because of buying presents (and it's not even december)

  • that coke ad is on



Thinking of that... at the end of that coke advert - you know the one, with the little boy and the parade of coca cola lorries with father christmas on them? Why doesn't father christmas wink at the end any more? That was like the whole point of the advert - that was the thing that made it magical, now it's just cut badly with a shoddy illustrated cola bottle plastered all over the end of it. Have people gone that crazy that an innocent advert is misconstrued, and it'd be inconceivable to have a drawing winking at a child in a non perve-like manner?






I am so not down with this cough.

that coca cola commercial has always annoyed me. i like christmas, don't get me wrong, but can we call it 'christmas' and not 'holidays', please, coca cola corporation. it's so nauseatingly american. the americans spoil christmas for me. they make it gaudy and embarassing. i spent a couple of christmasses ins weden, however - now THEY make christmas all lovely and happy and seasonal without all the. . tackiness. and without slade.

there's already christmas puddings and stuff reduced at tesco, incidentally. overstocking, much?

hope it's just a cough you have - every other person i know is dropping with flu right now. it's just that time of year. though i suspect in some cases at work, it's just people wanting their christmas holidays to start early confused

You forgot because it's snowing... oh wait you don't snow at xmas in this country tongue although in being minus twenty in norway does put a downer on the delightful whiteness.

I'v done no xmas shopping yet. I'm in denial clearly wink

Ha ha - yes yes, evil & cute is always my downfall, but I'm constructing a more detailed multi-laired blueprint which will help iannnnnn on his quest for me wink
