well, some guys are pretty straightforward. it's when you get onto the less traditional more sensitive ones, you feel like you need some kind of MANUAL to figure them out.

and yes, i say that because i myself have heardd the words 'i need a manual to understand you' more than once or twice

congratulations on your 72%. i very rarely got firsts when i was in art college, mostly because i spent more time trying to break the mould than follow briefs.
