I went to uni dressed like a 1940s hooker today (no pics, sorry). I curled my hair, piled on the eyeliner and lipstick, put on my stockings and forgot that my dress is really too short for them so I'm pretty much constantly worried that the back of my suspenders are on show when I walk, I put on my heels (yes, I wear heels on my two-hour trip to uni) and wore a trenchcoat that covered my entire dress. I really didn't realise how short it was, and it kind of looked like I had nothing on underneath... my legs do look amazing in heels, though even if I did get some stares from some... disreputable-looking young men.

ps. if you're late for the bus, running in a store-bought corset is bound to do you ill.

I like dressing up.

My corsetry tutor invited Kitten Von Mew - a burlesque star - to our lecture, and she performed a fan dance for us in a waspie corset that was beautiful. She apparently had planned to do her Marie Antoinette performance for us but had a chest infection - overbust corsets aren't amazing for breathing in general I'd say. She brought some of them in though, and talked to us about them and they were amazing! She had some older, store bought ones which are pretty poor quality, but she had some amazing tailored ones. I hope my corset turns out okay, apparently as well as this group photoshoot that we're doing, we might be doing a calendar to raise money for our third year shows. My corset's kind of low on the bust as well, I don't wanna be falling out of it at every opportunity.

Eek!

The boy was quite today, he even bought me some soup which I was so glad of, I was freezing!
