Candybox Burlesque was b r i l l i a n t. Well, of course it was, watching a group of very attractive women taking off their clothes was hardly going to be a chore was it? It really is a lot of fun though and I loved dressing up - I wore the most amazing underwear (I splashed out on Agent Provocateur stockings), a black dress, black net fascinator and my beautiful irregular choice toadstool shoes which are KILLER because of how high they are.
I felt pretty damned special.
Some of the things people wore though, the general idea is you dress up and look amazing - some people wore eveningwear like I did, some people went with the pajama party theme and wore cutsey nightdresses... and there were just some people wearing jeans and casual shirts, one man wore shorts, a t-shirt and sandals. It was... strange.
I had a really good night, Peter Firman performed (he's a magician) and was hilarious and Missy Malone was on as well as some performers I hadn't seen before.
Oh I have deadlines this week, I'm going out soon to get some card to mount my work on - I don't really want to be bothered but I have to make sure I can get it, really.
Still, after this week I can concentrate on more personal things. I really need to update my website.

There's a rule at one in Scotland that you don't get in wearing jeans or trainer, I think it should be like that at every burlesque night!
Me, the lurvly lady, a mate I work with and her man are going to a "gorelesque" night on Friday 13th of July... Should be interesting!
