Today we've had an opportunity to spend some hours at a beautiful place called Bells Beach. Bells Beach is located 100 km south-west of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road near the towns of Torquay and Jan Juc.
It is named after William Bell, a Master Mariner, who owned much of the property there from the 1840s.
Bells Beach is the home of the world's longest continuously running pro surfing competition – now known as the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.
I wish I could put into words how calmly it was hearing the sound of the waves, feeling the cool air playing with my red locks, the unmistakable scent of the salty water and the peaceful joy what ran through my whole body and put my soul into a zen mood. It was fantastic.
The Point Addis Marine National Park is a protected marine national park located near Anglesea on the Surf Coast region of Victoria, Australia. The marine park of coastline east of Anglesea, around Point Addis to the eastern end of Bells Beach.
There we've found a poor sea cucumber (I know they aren't the prettiest things hahaha) which was out of the water and possibly struggling to survive, so we put it back to the water and saved it. I'm such a huge animal lover and it was such a relief to my soul that I could put it back to where it's belong.
And also there were some lovely sea shells. Some of the more commonly found shells on Australia's beaches are abalones, razor shells, limpets, top shells, turban shells, periwinkles and whelks.
