Great Irish band in the Explosions in the Sky mould. The main guy recently produced an album by a band called Butterfly Explosion who I recently saw live and met. I'd love to say they have a great future ahead (the album is classic and live they were amazing) but in todays industry I can't see it. The music industry is in a really sad situation. These guys stopped off in Liverpool to do a free gig on their way back from a support tour. It was unannouced but I got word of it but only 8 people showed up and they played as if they were in front of 8,000. They didn't care that the idiot in front of me thought talking to his mate was more important than listening, they just went for it and for that they'll always have my respect. 10 minutes after I talked to them they were packed up in their van and off to Ireland. They just arrived from Austria 30 minutes before the gig. How do these bands not make it these days? I wish for the era of the early seventies when record companies were signing anyone and everyone and pouring money and time into the music. These days you hear a great debut album and then the band disappears!
