Okay, seen the film I am Legend? Tell me about the dog? Spolier if you never read the book. I refuse to watch the film as the book was the most amazing thing I have ever read. I say thing, but christ it's a part of me I've read it so many times. Greatest 50's horror novel ever....greatest novel ever?
I spoke to my sister recently after she saw the film and I mentioned the dog and the emotion I felt when I read the book wasn't there....how the hell did they mistreat that one? She had no idea about the real story apparently as she messed around that the dog was a better actor than Will Smith! So, I take it they fucked another classic novel up?

I thought the film was good in it's own right but I agree it didn't really do the book justice.

Guess I need to watch the film before I criticise it! I remember reading the book on a train to Manchester and nearly cried my eyes out reading the bit about the dog. I can't imagine why they'd deviate from the story so much on that bit, would have made great cinema! Great book though, think I may read it again today
