My claim to fame.

I got into a fight and beat up Prince's half brother in junior high school.

I have never been a fighter or bully. I have two occassions in my memory where I may have been a bit of a bully and this is one of them. For some reason Prince's half brother brought a big jug of cologne to school. For some reason at the end of the school day I thought it would be funny to pretend to pour it over his head. He hit my arm and I spilled the cologne all over his head. Man - it smelled bad, very strong! He got pushy and I tried to back away but he kept coming at me so I pushed him down. Not much of a fight. But he started crying and I felt really bad. Especially after I heard everyone got sick on the bus cause it smelt so strong and bad.

I probably heard The Time and Prince music before most of the country, but I wasn't old enough to see Prince playing at First Avenue (a smallish bar / concert venue). I was also into Devo, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson (He was cool then), and Def Leppard.

I haven't scene Purple Rain yet and I am thinking should.

This whole thought of the night comes from watching Prince sing/play during the superbowl half time.
