This weekend is going to be the official start of insanity. It all begins with meeting Mle, chrisalis, and M's boss and wife for a nice dinner in Philly. I had met them before at the restaurant where she works and they are super nice people. We had tons to talk about, so I'm sure that it will be a blast to hang out with them again. Probably end up spending the rest of the weekend in Delaware with M as well. She rules.
*UPDATE: Like this weekend wasn't crazy enough already... Fenchurch will be heading south from Vt. to join the dining festivities. This is big news.
Two weeks later, on the 19th I have to tow my '69 Buick down to Stiles to have him work on it. This has been my project car for a long time now and it'll be nice to have it running again. I miss driving the beast. Most likely I'll spend the night out having a couple of drinks with the Philly boys after that.
On the weekend of the 25 I have a trip planned with unfound to go see the awesome and lovely and adorable Fenchurch in Vermont. It's been a while since I was last in the Green Mountain State. It's not that often that I have a reason to go there, but going to see Fenny is a good one.
I've got two DJ bookings in April. The first one in Pittsburgh on April Fools Day and the second one in Newark, NJ on the 9th. That should be fun and interesting. I'm hoping to get another tattoo while I'm in Pittsburgh also.
Garbage is coming to Philly to play on the 16th. It's sold out already, but I'm doing my best to fanagle some tickets. If that doesn't pan out it might mean a trip up to Boston to see them on April 17th. [They added a date in NYC on Tuesday April 19th, so it looks like that'll be the show I hit.]
Then May. May is the big month. Prom in San Francisco. Not to mention I'm looking to get an interview with BART, the passenger rail service while I'm there, looking to find a place to live, as well as party like a rockstar. There's time enough for everything.
And last, but not least, GlassHeart is coming to visit NYC in late May and I want to treat her to the best of my city the same way that she did for me when I first came out to see SF. Gonna take her to see Conan O'Brien, to the Empire State Building, to get NYC pizza, and out on a couple of nice dates. That'll be a great week.
All of this takes a lot of planning, co-ordination, and most of all money. There's booking airfare, hotels, making appointments, finding out train schedules, and making sure that everyone I am traveling with is all on the same page. Part of typing it all out is to keep things in order for my brain. It's also written on my wall calendar and in my daily planner. I have a horrible memory and if I didn't make these lists I'd be lost. Maybe I'm a bit nuts, but it works for me.
