I've been kidded a few times about posting song lyrics in my journal too often, but it's been a while since I have, so I think it's fair play that I put some in today. A lot of times they speak so perfectly about a mood I'm in or thoughts that I want to express, it makes it hard not to just reprint them and let them stand on their own. Sometimes they are vague enough to speak for me to many different people in many different ways. Most likely what the original songwriter intended. So, without further adieu, today we have...

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights

I am thinking it's a sign
that the freckles in our eyes
are mirror images
and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned.

I have to speculate that God himself
did make us into corresponding shapes
like puzzle pieces from the clay.

True, it may seem like a stretch,
but it's thoughts like this
that catch my troubled head
when you're away,
when I am missing you today.

You, out there on the road,
for several weeks at shows
and when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you.

They will see us waving from such great heights.
Come down now, they'll say,
but everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now.
But we'll stay.

I tried my best to leave
this all on your machine,
but the persistent beat
it sounded thin upon this ending.

You will hear the shrillest highs
and the lowest lows,
with the windows down,
when this is guiding you home.

They will see us waving from such great heights.
Come down now, they'll say,
but everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now.
But we'll stay.

Hey...you're a friend of a "friend". I explored your photos and just wanted to say Hi...and that I really dig your flapper photos. I would have loved to have experienced those times.

Hey Minimalism, I'd love to go on the SG camping trip, but I'm not in any of the regional groups. I'm moving back to Philly from Chicago this summer. Anyway, could you let me know some details through my contact sometime?

Thanks,

Asunder
