Most people who know me probably think I'm a pretty decent guy. I'm fun to be around for the most part. I'm loyal to a fault, but betray me and you'll see the wrath of the Scottish in me. I can be the biggest asshole you have ever met.

I sent my CD off to a bunch of magazines to be reviewed. The other day... Read More
So something strange just happened. I was working on new songs all day yesterday and when I woke up today at 6am I was in the mood to hear them again. Since you're on top of them during the process sometimes the next day they don't sound as good and sometimes they sound even better than you think. You just need a bit of distance... Read More
It was just a few days before we were due to go into the 10th grade. We were 15. Phil and I had a tiny, little scrap of paper with crude directions scribbled down by his older brother. They were from the 9th Street Path station to 315 Bowery. CBGB.

I recently developed a new celebrity crush. I'm not one to take these things too seriously, it's just fun to admire them. It's no wonder I don't update my blog more often. I come here thinking I have something to say, but then once I try to start typing it all sounds so self important that I just end up deleting it all. So, hey! This is my new blog!
Yeah, without a doubt we were at some of the same shows! '88 was definitely the peak of that era of hardcore, and the peak of me going to shows. I was part of that "sneaker crew" skinhead period. Skater, straight edge, South Shore, into sports. So we were really into Youth of Today, Bold, Gorilla Biscuits, Warzone, AF, Slap Shot, Sick of it All, Wrecking Crew, etc. I was also really into post-punk new wave, too, so I was going to HC shows but still listening to The Smiths and The Cure. Don't tell anyone.
I graduated from HS in 1990, so those guys were all older than me and I didn't really know any of them, but I did interview a few people for my little 'zine I had in high school.
We should definitely get drunk together and act self-righteous about the "good old days" at some point.
