Not dwelling on my problems today.
Katrina has diverted my attention and reminded me that i am just a speck of sand on this massive rock.

I wrote a letter to Anne Rice just now, since her phone message line is down. I offered my support and thoughts. I also suggested the publication of some sort of book of short stories from her, and others to raise money to restore the places that we have come to love and know from her books.

I dont have money to donate to the efforts, but i have my writing and my ingenuity, and i hope that can help over these next 3-4 months while New Orleans is totally shut down.

My prayers are with those who have lost thier homes and family, and with the many people who live in the shanty towns behind the curtains of the New Orleans lifestyle.
