Hello weekend! Not that the weekend is much different around this place than the weekdays.. but whatever.
Im going to put in my app for this sweet apartment in West Torrance. The odds seem pretty good on this one, so YAY.
A thought on my surroundings:
A few times a year, all the Jacarunda trees in So Cal come into a violent violet colored bloom. It is breathtaking to the casual observer... but not someone who lives on a block lined with these trees. The beautiful blossoms are full of nectar... otherwise known as sticky rain that falls on your car. After the nectar rains down, the flowers fall, and STICK to everything. You would think a purple blanket of blossoms would look rad on the ground.. but they turn brown and clump together. When i was young, i hated this time of year because the violet blossoms would stick to my rollerskates. Now that im older... i dont seem to have time to let it upset me. After all, you can always hose off the car, sweep the walkway, and mow the lawn.
Glancing outside at my own personal explosion of violet jacarunda blossoms, im almost proud that our tree is in strongest bloom... almost
