Journal time.......I think this whole Star Trek versus Star Wars thing is ridiculous.....they are totally different takes on science fiction. Star Wars is more of an action fantasy kinda thing, while Star Trek is closer to, or grounded more, in reality. I know, I know, it has Klingons and Androids and the like, but it is about the human condition. Most episodes are thinly veiled morality plays posing as science fiction action drama. Star Wars comes across more as simple popcorn fluff entertainment. While both are well done, I have to say that I do prefer Star Trek, simply because I need something a bit more intellectual to stimulate me. And hey, do you think we would have flip open cellphones and those new air gun type of injectors taking the place of needles if it weren't for Star Trek? I think not. I don't see any lightsabers around. Anyway, enjoy both series, but I don't see the need to compare. Later!
