So I decided to ask a coworker to cosign on the car with me today. I felt about this big (holds up toy car) but I had to do it because there was no other choice. So I asked him, and told him I would give him a hundred dollars cash if he would do it. He thought about it and said yes, because he would build his credit, and I would get a car, and he would get a hundred bucks. Win win situation, see? So he told the lady over the phone how much he makes per month, and blah blah other info. We then have to wait a couple of hours until she has an answer. Two and a half hours pass and so we go to the dealership. Jane (the dealer I'm working with) comes up all happy and cheery as fuck with a "Hi Jack!!! Sorry, but he has to make this and this amount of money to qualify, and he doesn't!!" I was blown away. But here's the thing. The amount she told us he needed to make per month was only ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS more than he told her he makes per month. So only one hundred bucks stood between me and a brand new Dodge Stratus. Today. I couldn't believe it. If only he had told her a different number. Anyway, I now have my best friend willing to cosign with me tomorrow, and since I now know that you have to make a certain amount to qualify, I have instructed him to lie his ass off. Happy Days might be here again!!
