Friggn' Portland liberals I tell ya!

Is there anything better than being told how to live your life by a total stranger?

Every day I ride my bike up to the post office to drop off shipments and I bring my dog along for the exercise. I just have one hand on the bars and one had holding her leash. So yesterday this SUV passes me and pulls over ahead, when I come along side it I was hit with some "I've done my part to make the world a better place" crap.

This lady begins to tell me that I should have my dog on a harness when I run her with the bike because the collar could hurt her neck if she stops or whatever. She's all 'my boyfriend told me not to stop and say anything but you don't mind do you'. I was all 'nah I don't mind at all' but what I was thinking was 'you've got a good boyfriend there and you should really take his advice next time'. I was cool about it and just let her talk but I didn't say much, just sat there nodding until she was done doing her good deed to save the planet.
Funny thing is, was really thinking about getting a harness for when I do this but more so I didn't have to worry about the collar slipping off my dog but now I can't do it because this total stranger went out of her way to tell me to do it.

Anyway, not that big of an issue I just thought it was pretty funny and a tad obnoxious, your typical "Portland liberal" for ya. Me, I'm a liberal too but I just live in Portland. Oh yeah, there is a couple folks on here that tried to set me up with one of those "Portland Liberal" types ( you know who you are), well either that or the girl was just plain crazy.
