I'm going to start sending out Christmas cards soon, seeing it can take a few weeks to get cards and stuff across that big pond, especially around the holidays. If you'd like to recieve a card from this little patch of land below the sea, and I don't have your address yet (or you've moved), drop me a message smile.

It was my dad's birthday this weekend, I didn't realize at first that he's 60 now! Makes me feel a little old myself wink. We had some family over, and went out to dinner Sunday night (spare-ribs, yummy biggrin). Not a bad weekend smile. I also bought some much needed new dress shirts, and a winter coat this weekend. I *love* the coat. It's black, long (over my calves), and warm.

Tomorrow I'm going to a seminar for work, about new rules specific for my field of work (IT security) and branch (healthcare). I won't bore you with more details, what I do isn't too exciting wink (you can click here if you're curious about what I do for a living). Lunch is included, and usually pretty good. And it's also nice to be out of the office, so I'm looking forward to going. The downside is that it's a 2-2.5 hour trip to and from where it's held, I'm definetly not looking forward to that!
Hopefully I don't have to actively participate, I'm feeling lazy wink.

My brother and his girlfriend have planned a little getaway this weekend, so they won't be around for dinner on Sunday. That means I can try some new recipes (my brother is a VERY picky eater) smile. I think I'm going to make a lamb stew with vegetables and couscous. It's been a long time since I made lamb, and I've been wanting to try this recipe for a while now. Hope it turns out as yummy as it looks in the picture biggrin.
I'm also going over some ideas for Christmas dinner. Does anyone have any good ideas? FYI: whole turkeys can be a little hard to come by here, and are very expensive. So that's not really an option. And my family isn't a big fan of roasted ham. I haven't decided yet if I want to do it casual like last year with a lot of different dishes and side dishes on the table, or more formal with an x amount of different courses. Input is appreciated smile.

Thank you for your support sweetie, it really means a lot...I know most of it is all in your mind...I have been so busy at work today, that I havent thought about it at all, so I actually feel like myself, and its great...so I need to try and train myself not to dwell on how I am feeling, because thats what caused my big anxiety attack in the first place...

My family has always had a casual dinner. Although, we also had turkey as they're fairly common here.

What are your 'traditional' dishes?
