It's officially the last day of my vacation today. Tomorrow I start work again bright and early. Jetlag wasn't that bad, just a little tired still. It really was a breeze compared to last year (24 hours of travel, 2 nights skipped and 9 hours time difference).
Plans for this weekend: I saw my grandma this morning, and brought her back a souvenir. And tonight I'm going out to dinner with my parents. Other than that, it's just kicking back and playing with Oz. I can tell the little kittie missed me, because he's been super-affectionate ever since I got back. Wherever I go, he goes. I do have to teach him not to do certain things though. Like the thing he has now for scaling walls and pillars. He climbs all the way to the ceiling on one of the pillars in my house, he trashed the wallpaper already in just 2 days. But other than that, he's a total sweetheart. He gets jealous too, which is kida cute. When I'm on my laptop he'll lie down on my keyboard, and when I'm on the phone tries to get his head between my mouth and the phone. It's so cute!
Things and people I miss:
- Avidity, she's a great girl to hang out with
- Saveme and her kids, feels strange to not have them around after spending 4 weeks with them
- Shimmer, also a cool girl
- Food Network, we don't have in here in NL (tape some shows for me Avidity, I'll come watch them next summer!)
- Grape-flavoured soda
- New England scenery
Things I missed while in MA:
- Paprika-flavoured potato chips
- Oz
- My own comfy bed
- Good public transport
- Supermarkets and other stores within walking distance
