Was in Dallas today for a job interview with a company called Accor...they own and operate hotels all accross the globe as well as other facets of the hospitality industry. I interviewed for an accounting position for the North American division based there in Dallas. All in all I think the interview was a success...I was a little nervous going in because it's been a minute since I've been on one but I wowed them with pimp talk so I felt confident of my chances of actually landing the position. Two guys interviewed me so naturally there was a sense of male bonding to a certain degree, quite unexpected because some of my previous interviews with more than one person were pretty brutal...like they were trying to break me or something...impossible! Anywho, the director who was asking all of the questions threw some johnny-on-the-spot accounting questions at me to gauge my knowledge, at first I was a little baffled, I hadn't been in accounting in almost a year so my off the top acc knowledge was a little rusty but I answered them with confidence hoping that would at least count for something...I think it did. I asked some really interesting and difficult questions myself and they answered them honestly and thoroughly so I felt good that I wasn't being lied to. In short, I'm expecting to get a call from them offering me the job. All of this is contingent upon the money being right. We didn't talk money today, it was the first interview...but best believe I'm playing hard ball when the time comes...I've been in enough places to know what I'm worth and I won't take anything less!
