It's a sad day folks...found out that my aunt passed this morning. She was a cancer survivor (brain cancer) but continued to battle various ailments as a result of the cancer...ultimately it was aplastic anemia that took her life. As with any condition that one suffers from for an extended amount of time you're relieved to know that the person isn't suffering anymore but yet the sadness always seems to trump that relief. The silver lining to this dark cloud is two fold 1) my aunt is no longer in pain and...2) I get to see my family who I've been sorely missing. It's sad that we have to come together because of such an occasion but this is life, and death is a part of it, we must celebrate both sides regardless.
