Rain Dance

It's been a long, heat riddled week here in Sydney. Reaching scorching temperatures to the point where sleep has been impossible. I've spent these past days wishing and in anticipation of a rain or storm, my wish has finally been granted, which has now lead me to this blog homework topic: What are your favorite things to do on a rainy day?

I'll be honest, it's not often I enjoy rain, but in my defence it's because I like to spend my time out and about (it's not too fun or comfortable when you're drenched.). Although there are days, like today, where I crave the smell and coolness of it.

On these days I like to start off slow. I enjoy snuggling in bed and listening to the rain pitter patter outside my window, when that's accompanied by a tea or coffee, it's near perfect.

There's also nothing like a hot bath to soak in. I love to just relax and pamper myself, I always tend to put in a bath bomb and some bubbles. I just let myself sink in, clear my mind and not worry about anything. It's even better when you've got your partner or a friend babe to join you.

You can't enjoy a rainy day at home properly without a damn good book, I feel like they just go hand in hand. At the moment I'm reading "the Perks Of Being A Wallflower" so far, so good. Next on my agenda is American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

I find rainy days are particularly helpful when finding my grounding and mental clarity. They inspire me to write, to observe and to truly think about the things in life I am grateful for.

Tell me about your rainy day traditions!

Mila

Time to get out that wet facewasher again @milafox... 39 tomorrow too! I'll just sit under the sprinkler for the day I think.
