I apologise for the lack of writing I’ve done on here, it has been such a long time. Unfortunately, my life hasn’t been incredibly eventful up until lately and I wanted to write something positive for you all, instead of me moping about like I’ve done a lot previously.
The year is wrapping up, we’re a third of the way through November. Is it just me or did this past year just fly? Where does the time go? Majority of my year has been spent studying and the last semester especially has been pretty full on, although now it’s come to a smooth finish. I’ve decided that the industry I initially studied to be in is just not for me at this stage in my life, it’s something I want to eventually pursue but I don’t feel ready. I’m happy to have learned and gained experience which I will use later in my life.
Apart from studying, I’ve now been getting a little luck on the job front! Only interviews so far, no employment yet but I feel like it’s starting to get promising. I had an interview last week which I haven’t yet heard back from and another tomorrow for the same company but in a different location. I’ve got a much better feeling about this second interview now that I’m familiar with the process and questions that may be asked. Fingers crossed, send me some positive vibes and wish me luck, I’ll need it!
Anyway, on to some actual fun stuff. It’s almost Summer here in Australia and I can just tell it’s going to be a steamy hot one. On one hand, there’ll be so much time to spend at the beach and exploring the coast and mountains of Sydney; but on the other, we’ll have our first 40 degree day this week and I don’t know how I’ll manage with this milky white skin! I guess I’m going to have to be a hermit on any days above 30 so I don’t look like a fried tomato.
Speaking of the beach, I recently went on an adventure with @twinrova , @aubreyx and @thefuckoffkid to La Perouse. We produced what will hopefully be accepted as my third set, and I adore it. Twinrova is a wonderful photographer!
Here’s a little outtake from the shoot. We were unsure about this photo being in the set (although I don’t think it’s terrible), there was just something about it that we weren’t entirely fixed on.
Shooting was interesting to say the least. It turns out the beach we chose was a nudist beach. Safe to say, I haven’t seen that much junk at one time ever in my life. We found what we thought would be a more secluded spot of this beach on a rock formation which had so many beautiful elements and faced out towards the sea. I ended up receiving a few visitors, some just passed by and there were a few regulars which at first was a bit confronting but towards the end I didn’t care, I wanted to have this set completed. I’m really hoping it produces a sense of my wanderlust and love for the Australian coast.
This summer I’m aiming to:
1. Explore as many new places as I can.
2. Be out of the house and in nature as much as possible.
3. Practice my modelling/faces, whether it’s just in my mirror or mini shoots with friends etc.
4. Organise a meetup for Sydney models/members/friends.
What are you planning over the last few months of 2014? Have you got any adventures planned? I’d love to hear all about it!
That’s it for now, I’ll love you and leave you. x
