I know I've been awful at keeping up with these homework assignments recently (forgive me, my life is all over the place right now), but I seriously could not miss out on this one.
Anyone who knows me or has heard me speak knows how in love I am with horror movies. Old and new, classics and (some) remakes, all different sub genres and especially slashers. So let's face it. I could NEVER pick just one. Instead, I've compiled this little list of some of my favourites- not in any particular order;
1. Trick r Treat
Several stories that all intertwine in a town at Halloween including the school bus massacre and werewolves
2. Suspiria
A classic from the genius that is Dario Argento
3. Waxwork
A group of friends enter a waxwork house only to be pulled in to, and become part of, the exhibit
4. Murder Party
A guy finds an invitation to a Halloween party, only for it to take a deadly turn
5. Hatchet
A new(ish) movie to the slasher genre that's every bit as good as some of the classics
6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
one of the best slashers of all time
7. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Because when Leatherface comes out of the record room I still jump! Even after watching it endless times
8. Creep
This is a brand nee film and an amazing one at that! A videographer, low on cash, takes a job to film a dying man and document his last days only for it to take a serious turn
9. American Mary
A med student turned plastic surgeon for the bizzare who's out to take revenge
10. Demons
Possesion moves taken place in a cinema which the people inside can't escape
11. Martyrs
I'm not going to say anything about this as I don't want to spoil anything but just watch it!
12. Brain Dead (also known as Dead Alive)
Peter Jacksons zombie comedy, which is full of gore, amazing one liners and all over brilliance (also check out Bad Taste by him)
13. Near Dark
My all time favourite movie!
14. Fright Night
A boy discovers that his new neighbour is a vampire
15. Basket Case
Because everyone needs to watch it
