Hello my darlings 💕 Iʼm alive, just drowning in my new work 🤧 I am very busy this period but.. Ehy! Today I got a new tattoo 🖤

“Ai no yokan”

This is a japanese sentence that means “premonition of love”. 愛(ai) is true love. The love between adults that last longer than teenagers’.

の(no) is a particle to express possessiveness of something. But you can already do that in english just by using “of”.

予感(yokan) means a hunch, a feeling of premonition.

In summary, this means a hunch for love. it may be used when you have symptoms of falling in love with someone even before meeting him/her. 💖

In real, the most common sentence is “Koi no yokan”, but “koi” means a general affection, or a little love like the one between teenagers. Since I made this tattoo with my girlfriend, we use “ai” instead of “koi” because has a more serious and adult meaning ☺️💕

She knows Japanese like a mother tongue because sheʼs been living in Tokyo for years, and she thought about writing the tattoo by herself with a more traditional japanese style 🖤 I am in love with the japanese calligraphy 🧾🖌️
