mostly just too much work for someone else...too much inside, in one place, with just one other person. i used to travel around quite a bit...a month in New Orleans, a couple months in Austin... i miss that, but i don't miss how broke i ended up being when work dried up. i'm looking for a new solution!!!

Getting to work on that record was a real privalege (damn, that's not spelled right but I'm too tired to figure it out). Other than that, it's been pretty much all indy or less known label artists. Now, I'm a lacky for a big girly-pop producer and wondering how the fuck I got here. Everyday now, I wonder and think about going back to just doing cool indy music cause the politics in the big label world are sick and stupid and I spend more time helping my boss deal with that than I do making records.
When Life throws you a curve ball, don't swing. Stand passively and listen for the umpire's call, "BALL!", then await the next straight pitch. Or prepare to walk the bases.
