After another crash of Windows 98, I've sworn it off and installed win2k!

Why didn't I do this years ago?! Laziness and stubborness, that's why. My worst two personality flaws (out of quite a nice collection) were finally beaten down by good ole pragmatism and his retarded little brother frustration.

Now for the updates! And installing service packs! And reconfigging!!

I love it! It's like...

Ahoy, thanks for the birthday wishes. Sorry I haven't been around, I've had folks visiting from out of town. Why win2k? What about that XP that I sent you?
zarphin:
I have a bunch of buddies all stuck on win98 they swear its the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just shake my head, and wonder. I believe they are just afraid to move forward in thier lives. congrats on being able to take that step. I know how hard it can be.

Anyway, yes Mr. NutSwineSelf-HousedReptile is still having his party on the 27th. That's the weekend after this one. So two weeks from this past Saturday. You still free?
syh:
Sonofabitch. That is mondo suckage there. See? frown Mondo suckage face.

Saucy email? It's 11:08pm. I don't do saucy at 11:08pm on a weeknight.

Wait a minute, 11:08?! Shit, I should've been in bed two hours ago. Fudge.

Guess I'd better write that email then.

I feel like I'm in 7th grade, myself.

the week from hell is almost over! Boss is gone tomorrow, so I will not do a goddamn thing except surf and look at sweet gear to spend my money on.

I'm looking at pieces by Manley, UA, and Drawmer.

When not here, I'm jerking off to the content of these sites.

cool im sure you will love it.. i have a digital dslr and i cant imagine going back to point and shoot after it.. only downside is with a lens, flash, camera, batteries...etc it weighs like 5lbs... but it takes amazing pics... iv played with the 10d before but never the digital rebal.. i actualy wrote a review of both thats in the photography group here.
the digital rebal being $500 less though makes it a really tempting buy espesialy if you have canon glass already.. jsut be carefull with all the <$3000 dslr cameras they built in some lens restrictions to force people to buy new lens which really sucks... one of my old nikon lens wouldent work on my new camera just because it was manual focus so i had to buy a new one thats identical except its AF.
if you want we should go shoot together sometime.. im sure there are great areas around where you live with the water and all smile

Listen to Les, drag your punk ass out here. We've actually been having great weather out here this week, tons of sun.
I know you dig the wine, and my co-worker has a vinyard up here that makes the best pinot noir I've ever tasted.

Enough negativity.

Though exploited, I'm thankful to be employed at all.

I always used to think that depressed economic and political times brought upon positive and vast social changes and surges in the arts. Why doesn't it seem like this has happened for this bout of social depression? Are we in the midst of it? Is this a sign that the worst is yet to...

Hey Mr. Introspective !!!
Yup...I been a very busy boy in this last week or tow and it's gonna stay that way for a while I think.

I did a live recording of my ex-girlfriend last night. This meant dismantling my home computer and renting extra gear so I was jumping through hoops this weekend. Now I've gotta start returning gear! All in a days work. I had to figure out a way to record a decent acoustic guitar sound without a lotta vocal bleed for someone not used to staying still for a guitar mic. I ended up mounting a lav mic inside the guitar and it worked great!

...and a happily geeky morning to you too!!!
fenway:
yes maybe i will take your advice and get PHOTOSHOP...but i would rather that you come by and resize them for me...i would like to show you some surprises....have you ever even been to RI? Saying I am the best thing about it is kinda premature, dont you think? kiss
but i bet kissing me would be the best thing about RI! love

I know this is a recurring theme in my journal as of late, but I've been feeling old lately.

Case in point: I was invited to go to a college party tonight. Not only did it not sound interesting, but I decided to work out and do my taxes.

The friend that invited me to the soire is also 27 and has a penchant for...

Thanks for that comment mate. It's nice to know that my family's legacy for writing has adapted to the electronic age. Funnily enough it's one of his few poems he wrote in was can be described as 'English'. More often than not he used a Lancashire dialect even I have difficulty understanding. He wasn't too shabby at emotive writing for a master - baker's understudy smile

Interesting historical note regarding that poem. He was ex-communicated from the Catholic church for writing it and alledgedly questioning the 'Will of God', one of only three people in the 1900's to have that dubious honour!

I reckon you move here, mate. Plenty of quiet bars full of [psuedo] intellectual types. v78 @_@

I"m much better now, thanks. Fever's gone, just the residual sniffles.

I think I killed it with some homemade tomato soup and lots echinacea of tea.

Ahhhhh weekend. What are you doing this weekend?

Well, I've finally succumbed. The flu has overtaken my body, but not my soul!!

I did go to work today, but after an hour I couldn't focus on the text and was just hanging my head in my hands. I had to stop the session three times to run off tothe the loo and coat some viscous hot fudge all over the inside of the...
