Finished watching the Taken series this weekend between fishing and being drunk. I really connected with this series, and was thankful to have seen it for the first time in 5.1 and widescreen because I am an A/V SNOB.
Anyway, for those who aren't in the know about this series, it was produced and directed by Steven Spielberg for the SciFi channel. It deals with 4 generations of alien abduction in the point of view of both the abductees and the government offcials in charge of the cover-up. Acting is superb, effects are tasteful, and the plot is believable without being overly sensational. It IS, after all, a serial drama. If you're into aliens, but not necessarily anal probes, this series is for you! Available now on DVD on Netflix.
Fishing went well, even if I didn't get a goddamn bite. The monster carp were rolling in the bayou though, and dammit, it was amazing. Picture literally thousands of 30+lb. fish splashing around in shallow water and rustling in the reeds. Thick, multi-colored scales glinting in the even afternoon light. Had I a net, I could have caught dozens right under my boat. Oh well. Let 'em mate and propagate so my progeny can one day witness nature's riparian wonder.

Hydrogen fuel cells, though clean from the end user's perspective, cause pollution because we would first need to make our power plants clean. The electricity needed to perform electrolysis of water is enormous. (I know, I've done it myself at home... 500mA at 12VDC takes almost an hour to get half of a test tube of hydrogen.) The other popular method involves harvesting the hydrogen from Methane gas, and the byproduct of that is lots of carbon.
I assume biodiesel is quite a bit more feasible than fuel cell technology, but is it overall measurably better than gasoline or diesel?

I'm not saying it's necessarily true because I currently have lack of data from both sides, but if there really is proof of such a dynamic climate over the past couple thousand years, then although our actions may be warming the atmosphere through the last hundred, I think that it's not such a bad thing as the doom that some people try to make it out to be.

although, my guy is using a jazz bass now, and it's good with new strings... his bass head sucks, though. some pawned crate. it breaks up before it gets loud enough.
