Got my tickets to see JOHN PRINE in August. It's general admission which is poopy, but i'll show up early for sweet seats.
No, I'm not going to Burlesque. I know, I suck. John Prine is more important, and I only have enough bugeted for one major concert this year. Yes, Burlesque counts as a concert. John Prine is more important to me, especially since Les will be there, too.
And Friday I pay for the rest of my guitar, which is on layaway! 1975 Gibson Hummingbird -- MADE IN KALAMAZOO. They didn't make many acousitcs at all in Kzoo in 1975, mostly just electrics, so this one is special. Looks to have the single X bracing (early-mid 60's specs), too. Not a scratch. Just a paculiar bleeding from the varnish on the neck binding, so it's not a collector piece and thus cheeeaaaaaaaap, but still expensive enough that I've taken several weeks to pay for it. and it sounds so good, i literally got verklempt when I played it. But Friday it will be miiinnnne!!!!
