Bad rollergirl, you need to update your SG blog more. Forgive me, SG kids, for I am about to copypasta from my LiveJournal. *bends over to receive her spanking*

So, you didn't go to our first bout; why not? Here's only a sample of the exciting shit you missed:

All of the best stuff happened in the second period, because that's when feelings start to get hurt over the score, such as:

- I smacked my face on the polished concrete. (It's fun!)
- The period ran much longer to allow for the first period's time getting munched by penalty calls and the like.
- I actually got the league's scariest, sturdiest skater pissed at me because she couldn't budge me with multiple checks. (Okay, so she found a way to take me down, but I'm ignoring that part for the sake of the Exciting Bout Story.)
- Honey Sanchez (one of the original T-Birds) actually got up out of her seat and marched up to the refs to dispute points given for a jam.
- The audience went fucking nuts with team rivalries. Keep in mind that this was the first bout ever for our league and the teams are brand new.
- We tied, sending the game into a tense sudden death overtime. My team ended up winning, but the real winner (stupid cliche incoming!) was the audience. It was such a tight game and the audience wasn't bored for a second. It was to the point that I heard that some of the audience thought that the match was scripted.

Scripted! Holy fuckballs! If that's not a compliment, then I don't know what is.

Big big super thanks to RedJenn (of PDL and formerly of the LA Derby Dolls) for being awesome enough to ref for us, along with Alex P. Cretin (my husband) and our other two refs. I didn't get a chance to talk to you at all, but I know that it was quite the endeavor and we all really appreciate all that you've done for us. I also want you to know that when girls expressed concerns about potential bias towards the Bloody Marys that my husband had your back all the way and shut them up quickly. Even if Ella Mental did call him a cocksucker, which is old news to me! ;p

Here's an audio slide show from the bout as published in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. I'm in it, yay.

Our next bout will be a rematch exhibition, slated for the later part of January. We'll probably have it at the Orange Show again, it was a great venue.

thats so freakin rad! I wish I had the coordination and wasn't so afraid of hurting my hands, it looks like fun.
