YouTube is the best, isn't it? biggrin

You know, that's really understandable. I'm very lucky that my company is cool with tattoos to a certain extent. There are at least two people who are sleeved out and a lot of us have some visible tattoos; especially the women. It seems to be more accepted that the women have ankle tattoos, and wrist tattoos and the ever present tramp stamp.

SO I got a phone call the other day from a headhunter...he had seen my resume on monster and wanted to meet with me. He explained companies pay him to find quality employees and I wouldn't have to pay him anything. I'm going for an interview on thurday morning to see if I'm a good fit for any of the companies he represents.

Also...no new...

good luck in deed
veeyenenwhy:
Thanks bro!

It's not sad at all. 9-5 desk jobs are underrated. You know what your hours are, the pay is usually decent, and it's a job.

This transfer will be the first white collar desk job I've ever had in my life. I look forward to it. I've paid enough dues in the Navy, doing shitty freelance, and working in a hot, cold, stinky, musty ass warehouse. If anything, this position will free me up to look for better freelance and licensing opportunities.

Good luck with the job hunt dude!

So I've got some thinking to do.

I've been filling out job aps like a madman the past few days...last night I applied to WaWa for a manager and an asst manager position (it's like 7-11, it's a major chain in NJ, PA, DE, MD and VA for those of you nowhere near here).

Today I got a call back from WaWa...good pay scale, room...

Definitely go for job satisfaction, so long as you can earn enough to get by. It is a long, frustrating workday when you hate your job and no amount of money can really compensate for that.
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo:
Sounds promising. Hopefully it will lead to something worthwhile.

I need to do more resume posting and less afternoon napping...

Dude. I really dig your pad. It has a cafe-ish artsy fartsy feel that I can vibe with.

Excuse the wannabe beatnik lingo. blackeyed

Ha! We are probably the only two people here cool enough to remember that show!

So moving day, while not a disaster, did not go as planned...and because of this I'm still working on getting furniture.

Yup, I've been sleeping on the floor since friday...not the most fun I've ever had, but I'll live.

Got the bed ordered yesterday and it'll be delivered wednesday sfternoon...yay!

Went to ikea today and got most of my living room furniture...chair, coffee table, lamp...

I haven't picked up his latest but I should. I'm reading American Gods and going between that book and Season of Mists to give my eyes a rest.

I will definitely check out Anasi Boys. You're like the fifth person to recommend that book to me.

Moving day starts at 7AM tomorrow. It's gonna be a long day.

If all goes well I should have my internet back on friday...and I'll finally be off of dial-up (yay!).

So my time at Ballys is almost over. Everybody's been really cool...some of the attendants are even taking me out for drinks after I'm done. There's been a lot of goodbyes, and a lot of old stories being told. When I stop and think about it, I've done and seen stuff I might never experience again. Here's just a few examples...

-I've held $73,000 in...

Still a little sick, but feeling much better...let me catch y'all up...

Friday I went to a liquidation sale in Atlantic City...but it wasn't just any old place having it, it was the Sands hotel & casino. Ya see, they got bought out, and the new owners are going to implode the place and build a whole new casino while they wait for their gaming...
