So I've been noticing an abundance of negativity this holiday season, and it's making it difficult for me to be in my normal joyous Christmas-y mood.

Maybe it's the weather, cause it's way to fricken warm to feel like a winter wonderland around here. Maybe it's the sudden rash of bad break-ups many of my friends have been going through as of late. I know the piss-poor economy is a factor, because it translates into lousy incomes, which means less money to buy presents and such.

I'm not even going to get started on the "it's all too overcommercialized" ranters...they tend to annoy me almost as much as seeing x-mas cards on sale in october.

The important part of the holiday season is sharing good feelings with family...both the ones that get the title by default because of some shared dna, and the ones who have earned it through love and friendship. It's about hoping that maybe just for a day or two the world can stop and say "hey, why don't we try and get along for a change." It's not about what you give, it's about giving.

Just sayin'.


On a side note, who wakes up in the morning and decides the world needs glow in the dark kitties?
