So I went out last night for my friend's birthday.
Spent more money then I should of, but hell...I needed it. Stacy, the birthday girl, is one of my best friend's sisters, and when you put the two of us together we always get some serious amusement by driving him insane...it's wrong, but it's funny.
The last person in our little drinking party was Marion, the other sister...explain to me why I am never at a loss for words at any other time, but when you put me in front of her I have trouble making it through a sentence without sounding like a complete idiot. It's really pathetic. Hell, I spent a better part of my workday texting back and forth with her and I was fine, but put me across a table from her and I'm a retard.
...but I digress...
The night was a truckload of fun. We went to a place on Sansom street that makes its own home brews, with names like grog (what I drank most of the evening) and "monkey knife fight", which has to be the greatest name for a beer in the known universe. Alcohol was consumed, stories were told, abuse was dished out, and a fun time was had by all. And, when we missed the 10:20 train home we stopped by a bar near the station to do an irish car bomb while we waited for the next one. There were four people who were very unhappy they had to wake up this morning.
Now, on to other topics...
First sorry if I've been MIA or cranky lately. The whole money thing has me extremely stressed at the moment, mostly cause I don't have a whole lot of it. Basically, I've got august to get the finances straightened out. I'll figure it out, I always do.
On the job front...I'm waiting for a call for a second interview for the social work position. I think I did alright in the first interview, and I'm waiting to get a form back from the state saying I'm ok to work with kids. What I do know is they've been checking out my references, cause I've gotten a couple of calls from people I listed telling me they've called. I also know, because THEY CALLED MY CURRENT JOB EVEN THOUGH I MARKED THE BOX THAT SAID NOT TO! I basically got a voicemail saying "oops...sorry 'bout that." At least I listed my store manager as the contact, because he was verry cool about it.
So from what I understand I've got an advantage because suposedly they're interviewing me before they post an ad for the position. I happened to show an interest at the right moment, and when my buddy mentioned me to a supervisor they figured they'd interview me first and possibly save the cost of the ad. So, in theory, I'm not competing against anyone for the position. However, my buddy says they tend to be slow about hiring. I've decided that if I don't hear back by friday I'm going to start the heavy job searching again and if I find something else first it'll be their loss.
Hmmm...what else? Oh yeah! So I've had a page at deviantart.com for a while now, but I wasn't using it...well, during a bout with insomnia the other night I finally got around to posting some of my pictures. Several of them are ones on here, but you can see them in a larger size on their site. I'll slowly be adding more over time. Go and check it out...

Also, in a shameless cry for attention...send me some mail people! I've been a little down, and coming home at night and finding a postcard or something in the mailbox would make my damn day. Pleeeeeeeeease? Don't make me use the sad puppy dog eyes. If you need the new address drop me a message.
Oh...there is a t-shirt of the week, but it's been delayed...when I uploaded the pictures I kinda had that crazy homeless guy look goin' on (the downside of an 8 megapixel camera...it's hard to hide when you're not looking your best)...I'll post up when I can take some decent pictures.
