Hmmm...ya know, I have at least one ex that would propably think this is true.
Feeling a little bit out of it...it was a long holiday weekend at work, filled with a mix of good people and people who were trying to con me (there's just something very unnerving about a watching a little old lady lie to me trying to claim money that wasn't hers). All and all though it was very chaotic, very tiring, and very entertaining in it's own way. One more day to go before my weekend.
I think one of the little joys of my job, and one of the things I'm going to miss, is that every day truly is an adventure on the casino floor...one week you've got a WWII vet telling you about landing on Utah beach on D-Day, the next you've got some lady running around the floor with a butterfly net. One day you're making sure everything is ok for a famous retired athlete, and the next the guy who played Eddie Munster is piss drunk at the bar telling you about his glory days on tv. One minute the hot bartender from the club down the street is jumping on top of you (security took one look at her and figured I didn't need any help) and the next you're watching a six foot four drag queen hit on one of your co-workers. I have been cursed at in at least eight different languages. I have been threatened, hugged, swung at, kissed, spit at, and inappropriately touched...sometimes all in one shift. Though I will be changing occupations in the somewhat near future, it is six years of my life I will never forget.
Hope everyone had a good holiday.
Oh...the cd for the week is Rancid's "...And Out Come the Wolves"...go buy it, it's awesome.
I've been wanting to have tattoos since I was 12, yes.
but of course, the things I wanted back then? AWFUL
I want something pretty, well done, yet, special.
I will sure wait. there is also the mom/dad factor and the fact they both hate piercings and tattoos. *sigh* having some done would feel similar to a kid saying to his very religious parents "mom, dad, I am gay" LOL
