Shipping in Japan:
So, over the past few days I have received 4 packages. Two were shipped within one day of an online order, both were delivered the next day at noon.... but I wasn't home. So I came home to two shipping notices. Eric called one and it had an automated system where I could choose when I wanted it to be redelivered, we said between 6 and 8pm the same day... it came promptly at 6pm. The other connected us directly to the delivery driver's cell phone, he asked if we were home now - we said yes.... within 10 minutes he was at my door. I love Japan.
Two today, which my manager was holding for me over the weekend, one contained a gift from my grandmother in Sacramento, happy after having received a gift from me, another was a box my boss sent me. A game for Eric, ANOTHER kikou purse, Orla Kiely wallet, Mister Donut keitai strap, and.... two 1gb ipod shuffles. I love my job.

gouk and kikou;
My favorite brand in Japan is at http://www.s-inc.com I also like Vert Dense and DO! Family, but those are for daily wear, I've been drowning myself in shopping at those stores too, but anyway - back to s-inc.
I found, the weekend, that gouk/kikou/h.naoto has a shop in Ikebukuro, on the east side, a little bit away from where I normally go, but still close by. I bought two shirts and a little pouch... to match all the stuff I got from them in the mail earlier. They make really cute clothes with interesting designs, not TOO crazy like h.naoto, but generally plain with a nice print or using very japanese/asianesque fabric cuts. kikou is their accessories brand, shoes, belts, jewelry... and bags. I love their bags, I now own three of their purses and these:
They're so cute, I don't know, I can't stop myself... I get paid in a few days and Eric knows we're going back to get my some more clothes.

Games:
Ok, I got Another Code: Two Memories for the DS. I really liked it. It's really short if you play through it again, I'm sure - but if you play it like a regular adventure game and get stuck and unstuck and check EVERYTHING, you will get everything the first run through and enjoy it... it was about 10 hours+ for Eric and I including us getting retardly stuck in one section of the game.. which turned out to be really a cool puzzle.
I LOVE the way they used the DS, they took advantage of the two screens in ways I never thought they could, and it was just amazing! I hear the game got a lot of good reviews and the people who didn't like it complained about length... but really, this game was fun and if you like adventure games, you'll want to pick it up.. it's a dying genre and this one isn't bad.

Living:
3 earthquakes felt, total in this one month. snowed a few days - a few nights ago there was heavy snow and there is still a little left, as much as I love snow, it's too cold. Although.... Eric and I bought these really nummy Hokkaido style pork/veggie filled mochi balls (think like.. potsticker insides wrapped in a ball of chewy thick rice cake... drool!) you put in soup, so good - if it snows, that will be the best thing to eat.
