one week until we leave, well, less than a week, but that's just a detail, right?

i hate to ... uh... hate on oakland.
but seriously, within 6 months we were held up in a restaurant at gunpoint and a brick was thrown through rob's window, in broad daylight, while we were home... we couldn't get down in time to stop him.


is sf just that much safer, or does it just feel that way?

it's nice to know i'm going to a country where I can get drunk, black out, money scattered all over my body.. and no one would touch a dime of it. or yen, in this case. I mean, no one would help me up either, or see if I were alive, but still...

and if I had an umbrella on my dead body, and it started to rain, someone might take that.
